In partnership with Pos+Ability the HI Rec Monday Club provides a variety of fitness activities/sessions every Monday at the Rec Centre for older people and those recovering from illness. Experienced instructors from Pos+Ability deliver the sessions and transport to these activities can be provided locally via the HICOM Community Minibus.
10am-11:15 – Chair Based Exercise Class – enjoy social fitness with fun chair-based gentle exercises with a mixture of seated and standing positions … plus a cup of tea to finish!
11:30-1:30 – Specialist Exercise Activities – providing a positive attitude to stroke survivors / recoverers and other long term conditions (eg Parkinsons. MS). Sessions include chair-based exercise, balance & resistance work, coordination & memory skills, speech and conversation.
2pm-3pm – Memory and Coordination Class – exercises to help improve memory and coordination, with professional instructors … plus a cup of tea to finish!
Cost is £3.50 per week which includes the tea 😀
