Sunday 9 September: Strawberry 50 Cycle Event 2018 – SADLY, CANCELLED 😥
Regretfully, the Strawberry 50 organising group found that the deterioration of road surfaces and lack of repair to potholes is of concern for the safety of riders and the entire 2018 event had to be cancelled. Hopefully all will be well for the 2019 event.
The Strawberry 50 Cycle Event is a fun and relaxed way to enjoy cycling along the country roads of south west Cambridgeshire. With 3 courses: a longer 55-mile route, a 28-mile route and a shorter family-friendly 14-mile version, the event is open to cyclists of all standards from young children to veteran riders and from occasional bikers to regulars. Each course is well signposted with plenty of marshals on hand throughout the day. Water stops and food and drink are available for sale around the course, offering a chance to take a rest, pick up a snack and chat with other cyclists. Everyone cycles at their own speed or alongside their friends and family.
